Satterley will be conducting "A Sense of Stoneville" - Part 2 community session in early May and a number of you have let us know. The invite comes with some decent marketing spin. Here at Save Perth Hills we know hills folk are not easily fooled - no matter which way you spin it, urban sprawl is urban sprawl.
So here's our glossy depiction of their glossy depiction...
And a couple of observations:
• Can the Shire of Mundaring vote on SP34 if Satterley are still seeking community input? The email from Satterley states: "Through this second ‘A Sense of Stoneville’ session, we want to better understand your feelings, viewpoints and ideas on the proposed development as a key and active community member in the Shire of Mundaring." Does this mean that Satterley will alter the plan or is the session a waste of everyone'
s time? #confused
• Why does Satterley insist on using photos that stretch the truth.... the railway heritage trails are some distance from the proposed North Stoneville site. People won't be able to access those from their front door... and Kookaburras are not native to WA. They steal the eggs of native birds. At least the ocean view picture is no longer in use. #facepalm
• Why is Satterley asking us to "Make Sense of Stoneville". This makes "No Sense". People in the community made sense of Stoneville a long time ago and if you want to know what the community thinks, it's "NO NIGEL NO!" Check out the evidence and the turnout from our Community Rally on the 7th April. Over 1000 community members plus these good people were there: Matthew Hughes Member for Kalamunda, Ken Wyatt, Tim Clifford, Greens MLC for East Metro, Lee-Anne Miles, Greens candidate for Hasluck, James Martin for Hasluck
FYI Rita Saffioti MLA, Mark McGowan
