SPH Xmas Wish – A Random Act of Kindness

Christmas brings reflection.

So let’s rewind 130 years, when Queen Victoria ‘gifted’ 550 hectares of land to Perth’s Anglican Diocese – the Church’s Real Estate Business office.

The Church calls the land ‘North $toneville’ - the Diocese’s Biggest Business Embarrassment.

As our Community rolls into the 34th year of resisting the Church’s dangerous and destructive townsite plan for this land, Anglican Archbishop, and Diocesan Trustee, Kay Goldsworthy, has released her 2024 Christmas message:

...‘Manifest Kindness’...

We googled ‘manifest kindness’ – it's ‘trusting the divine process’.

So, as trusting souls, here’s SPH’s Wish list to help Archbishop Kay manifest much kindness over Christmas – and beyond...

• Be Kind - Don’t put more than 3000 people, knowingly, in the line of fire – literally

• Be Kind - Don’t bulldoze 60,000 trees (some 200 years & older)

• Be Kind - Don't destroy Endangered Black Cockatoo habitat

• Be Kind - Don't explode an entire Hill to force the land to be ‘compliant’ with your firetrap plan

• Be Kind - Don't ignore warnings from science, Government, Community, and from within your own faith, that tell you this land is too dangerous to urbanise

• Be Kind - PULL THE PIN on ‘North $toneville’ because, as Archbishop – you can.

• Be Kind – Heed your Church’s 5th Mark of Mission: ‘Strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the Earth’...

But. In the spirit of Christmas – the KINDEST ‘gift’ of all would be for the Anglican Church to ‘RE-GIFT’ the land - to the Community.

Indeed, Archbishop Kay, that would be THE most magnificent, authentic Random Act of KINDNESS, you could EVER deliver our Community and the Environment, of ‘North $toneville’...

Merry Christmas everyone – thank YOU – sincerely for ALL your support....

See you in 2025!
